Today is not only my 26th wedding anniversary, but it is also my parent's 54th anniversary, AND my in-laws (who divorced) got married on 8/14 too. So, Shawn and I figured we started off with a 50-50 shot at this thing. There's probably also half a chance that you'll enjoy this week's Deep Thoughts Thursday with The Boozy Weathergirl.

We had our Fantasy Football draft early this year. I was completely grossed out when one of our attendees was so excited about his picks that she said he was going to Rosterbate.

The worst word in the world, according to me and many others, starts with an "M". If you don't know what it is, well, my next least favorite word will clue you in - OINTMENT. It's the whole OI word thing. Add those two letters and everything just sounds nasty.

I am becoming increasingly certain of one thing - I am undiagnosed, but there is definitely something very wrong here.

You know you’re over 50 when you have upstairs and downstairs ibuprofen.

If zombies attack, go to Costco. There are cement walls, enough food and supplies to sustain you for years, and the zombies can’t get in without a membership.

My single friends fill me in on their online dating encounters. This one took the cake. The guy said he lived in a gated community. That community was prison. He meant prison.

You will hit every cone on the highway before I let you merge in front of me, because you saw that sign two miles ago, just like I did.

I hate it when TV shows say they contain "adult situations," but then they don't show anyone going to work, paying their bills or cleaning up after their kids.

The best thing about the good ol' days was that I wasn't good, nor was I old.

My advice to you - don't give up on your dreams. If cauliflower can become pizza and zucchini can be noodles, you too can be anything you want to be!

Back to the anniversary thing, as your years get longer, you sometimes need a little boost in the passion department. So why not add a little passion to your martini? If you add enough passion, you might rename the cocktail a leg spreader! Cheers!
